My name is Monique Hetu and I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  I am currently studying Accounting at Edmonton's Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and am working towards getting my Chartered Accountant designation.   

I’ve always trained with Archie Hurst of Clover Leaf Stables.  I have been riding for 9 years and was hooked from my first ride.   My favourite challenge recently has been my new three year old mare named Izzie.  

I feel very fortunate to be representing Canada at the World Cup for the second time. World Cup in South Africa 2008 was an amazing opportunity. Not only was World cup a fantastic experience, but I had the opportunity to explore both South Africa and Namibia. South Africa and Namibia are the coolest places I have ever gone to! I look forward to working with my new teammates and traveling to Shelbyville, Kentucky.
