My Name is Mikayla Frost and I am 21 years old. In 2009, I graduated from Mount Royal College with a degree in Thanatochemistry, Funeral Services and Embalming. I am currently employed at Glenwood Funeral Home, located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada as a licensed Funeral Practitioner and Embalmer.
I have been riding under the direction of Archie Hurst, at Cloverleaf Stables, for the past 11 years. Two years ago I bought my dream horse, Tamale Wally. During these past two years we have shown in both Canada and the United States, earning many championships.
One of my most memorable moments was when Tamale Wally and I succeeded in securing the title of Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Grand Champion as well as, the overall Region 2 -Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Champion at the NWSA Fall Classic held in Salem, Oregon. What a great way to end the 2009 show season!
I am honoured to have been selected to represent Canada in the 2010 Equitation World Cup being held in Kentucky, USA. I am looking forward to competing, along side my fellow teammates, to bring home the gold. Let's go Canada.
